Speakeasy Eating (9)
Our underground restaurant experience in Buenos Aires -
Polo lesson in Mercedes (35)
Whit wanted to take polo lessons in Argentina, like john had done in 2005 before his shoulder injury. Our friend Max recommended his friend Jose Luis Salvo's place in gorgeous Mercedes, 90 minutes outside Buenos Aires. -
Chinatown and Outdoor Tango (20)
Thuy took us for a private tour of BA's tiny Chinatown, and to a nearby open air tango party (aka Milonga). Thanks Thuy! >>> For more tango visuals, see the VIDEOS section to your left! -
Floating Naval Museum, Buenos Aires (19)
Over 23,000 Argentine naval cadets and officers have trained aboard this 85m sailing vessel, which travelled around the world 40 times between 1899 and 1938. Built in the UK in 1897 for a cost of 125,000pounds, this impeccably maintained ship never participated in combat. -
Public Art (23)
One of Buenos Aires' many charming attributes is its dedication to public art. Huge memorial statues grace their parks, while abstract sculptures line their wide boulevard de Liberator, near the Fine Arts Museum. -
Living like locals (24)
Our long-term stay in Buenos Aires provides us with the opportunity to do non-touristy things and just feel just like locals! Well, except for the fact that our Spanish skills are so lacking. -
Go Baby Go! (25)
We went to the City Park to find the polo field, but instead found the racetrack. Go Baby Go! -
Our 1st anniversary! (19)
We spent our first wedding anniversary in Buenos Aires cruising the street markets of San Telmo, the city's oldest and most charming neighborhood. Antiques, open-air tango, and sun! It was a great day. -
Day 1 and 2 in Buenos Aires (37)
Our arrival was on Valentine's Day. We slept in, then went to the famed Recoleta cemetery, where rows of elaborate tombs look like little mansions for the dead.
