Alitalia
Our Alitalia flight from Geneva to Rome was a little blustery.
-
Alitalia 2
Within a few minutes, it was a full blown storm!
-
Bookkeeping
Whitney does our bookkeeping in flight. Which means she records everything we spend in a little black moleskin book, so we can groan about how much the Euro kicked our butts later when we're in Argentina.
-
Munich Airport
Munich Airport was named Europe's Best Airport three years running. Even with all these flights, its extremely efficient.
-
Marienplatz
Marienplatz at night. The subway stop is right in front of the Rathaus building. It was awesome to come from underground, and see this amazing structure
-
Gothic Rathaus
The Rathaus (town hall) also houses the famous Glockenspiel (which chimes at the hour and displayes little characters re-enacting scenes from Bavarian history
-
Beer Hall
We arrived at the massive Hofbrauhaus. This shot only encompassed 1/8 of the hall. Huge ceilings and mural paitnings make the place bright and cheery.
-
Yum-O
2 Hofbräuhaus grill-sausages with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes

Frau Marilyn
Our waitress
-
John and Roger
John and Roger, drinking the dangerous pear liqueur mentioned in the "Mad About Munich" blog entry
-
Instantaneous effects
The effects were instantaneous
-
Tough job
This busboy spent the entire night replenishing the supply of huge, heavy steins from the washer to the shelves
-
John and George
George was one of the German group we were with... he is an officer at a correctional facility. He and John enjoyed talking shop and showing off badges.
-
Marilyn
Marilyn, our waitress, isn't so traditional after-all....
-
Can you hear them?
Can you hear them singing????
-
Alone in the subway
Dancing in the subway. Yes, it was one of those kinds of nights
-
Direction giver
This guy gave us directions in the subway, so we took a picture with him. He even took off his hat for the shot
-
Gene Simmons
The Gene Simmons reality show airs here, apparently, which is frightening
-
Home
At our homebase, the Nordfriedhof subway stop. Our hotel was a mere 80 meters away. Yay!
