Arrowtown, Milford Sound (25)
Our last two days in Queenstown were spent cruising the town and its neighbor Arrowtown, famous for a large Chinese Settlemtn during the 1890's golfd rush. And, our day trip bus tour to Milford Sound was an interesting experience. -
Canyon Swing & Days 1 & 2 in Qnstwn (40)
Our first few days in Queenstown were quite a juxtaposition from each other: Day 1 was spent relaxing and beer-drinking. Day 2 had early morning river rafting and tipping over backwards off a 60meter-high platform at 100 mph. -
Pancake Rocks and Rainforest Glaciers (38)
Leaving friendly Westport we drove south on the twisty-turney West Coast Hwy 6 towards Franz Josef. On our way we stopped to admire the sight of the Punakaiki Pancake Rocks. -
Buller Gorge, Caveworms and Tauranga Bay (45)
Along our drive to Westport we stopped for a zip across the Buller Gorge. Then, we did a great cave/glowworms tour on innertubes followed by a great lunch near the Seal Colony at Tauranga Bay -
John plunges & Friends in Wellington (37)
John did the best Superman impression that you can imagine from 15,000 feet! Later that day, we visited our friends the Lins at their home in awesome Wellington, NZ. -
Rotorua Adventures (54)
Our first night in Rotorua was spent at the Skyline gondola & luge center, which was a hoot. Day 2 was whitewater rafting - fun! And Day 3 was the famed AgroDome and ZORBing! Yahoo! -
Auckland & driving south (18)
Had a nice time in Auckland, but after a day we needed to see the country! Our drive south out of Auckland provided some good vistas of farms and creeks as we got closer to Rotorua
