More cool than "odd," South African license plates feature an elephant that glows when light shines upon it. Embarrassingly, as I took this photo in a parking garage, the owner of the car caught me. I must have looked like I was up to no good, taking photos of her Mercedes' license number....

This vending machine/game is outside the 7-11 near "Grandma's House." You control the metal claw to grab gold watches and 100R bills. This was too funny not to photograph.

In rural areas of South Africa, hitchhiking is often the only way to get from place to place, if you're not wealthy enough to have your own car. But, its dangerous and can lead to crime, so the government asks people not to do it.
