Last day in S.A. (7)
John went for a touching visit with an old friend from the Kennedy School, Max Masha, who works outside Johannesberg as a police head. -
Game Reserve / Our "Safari" (124)
What a wonderful experience. Being in the 'safety' of our roofless hummer and with the knowledge of our guide Daan, we had a blast! -
Entering Zululand (29)
After Cape Town, we stayed in Jo'burg for a night then drove into Zululand, where the culture and sights were much different from the West Coast of the country -
Table Mountain and Italian dining (21)
John, Jon and I went up to Table Mountain, the iconic landmark of the Cape Peninsula via an enclosed ski-lift thing that fit dozens of people and had a floor that roated so everyone could see the views. Post-New Year Fun in Cape Town (27)
Our New Years Eve celebration was spent at our friend Craig's parents home, and we saw them again a few nights later. We are having such a good time here, we're staying three more days! -
Horseback safari daytrip (43)
The Aquila Game Reserve is just a 2 hour drive from Cape Town and, although it seemed to us like a glorified zoo, we rode horses quite close to some very amazing wildlife. -
Weekend visit to Franschhoek (40)
The famed wine valley of South Africa is just a 90-minute drive from Cape Town. We visited Franschhoek, the most adorable and friendly little town within the valley. -
First few days in Cape Town (29)
We were so thrilled to be here. The warm sunshine and the gorgeous views had us hypnotized by this city within out first few days.
