Colonia is surrounded on three sides by water, so we kept driving down streets that dead-ended at the river.

A few miles up from historic Colonia lies the Plaza del Torreros, an old bullfighting ring that is now a neglected landmark.

Cruising down the road on the moto, we see a guy on a horse. A horse who looks a little too fit and dressed in ankle wraps to be an ordinary farm horse....

That's because it's a racehorse! This fellow was stretching him out for the day (in flip flops!)

We waved goodbye to the workout jockey, and zoomed toward the racetrack

A few more kilometers dow nteh road, and we parked the moto for a break.

...Only to run into more horses! The old guys were saddled up, tied to trees while an old man sold 30-minute rides along the beach.

Driving back to the B&B, we see a family of 3 on a motoscooter, which is extremely common. We even saw a family of four (including an infant child), but - as you can see - photos of moving vehicles from a moving vehicle are hard to capture.
