Bad Dürrnberg
We took a train from Salzburg to the small town of Bad Dürrnberg
-
Not Bad
It doesn't seem 'bad' at all!

The mine tour provides clothes covers, as it can be pretty messy down there, and the salt can stain clothing

Down the pit train
a little train takes us down into the mountain

slide self-portrait
furher into the mine, two slides are built of wood that allow the miners (us, now) to get deeper into the mountain. It was SO much fun!
-
salty
Our tour guide gave us a chunk of saltrock. It was salty, alright!

Alexis
At Sky Bar we meet Alexis the bartender, whose non-Austrian accent catches our ear... We soon learned that she's from New York City! She's living in Austria for only a few months as part of an employment exchange with Red Bull. She is awesome and we shared hours of NYC stories and American chitchat.

Alexis' version of a Pimm's Cup was great. And we all know how Whitney loves Pimm's Cups!
